Ministry of Health deployed comprehensive care day for Yanomami communities in Amazonas

With the intention of strengthening epidemiological surveillance and control of endemic diseases, the Ministry of Health deployed a multidisciplinary team in the state of Amazonas, specifically to the indigenous communities of Mavaca and Mavaquita, to provide comprehensive medical care to the Yanomami inhabitants of these localities.
According to a press release from the health portfolio, this action seeks, among other things, to guarantee equitable access to services, with cultural relevance, reinforcing the intercultural approach in the approach to community health.
“Thus reaffirming the commitment to health as a fundamental right and making progress in the protection of the most vulnerable populations, promoting collective well-being and respect for the country's cultural diversity,” said the text.
