The Government of Miranda reactivated the public transport service in the parish of El Jarillo, in the municipality of Guaicaipura, to strengthen the mobility of residents and tourists, information from this government agency on its website.
The Secretary of Transportation and president of the company TransMiranda, José Alvarado, specified that this service had been partially interrupted for a month.
“Starting today, the route will have two fixed TransMiranda units and a rustic vehicle, which will be used exclusively to cover the internal route of this parish,” he said.
He specified that the rustic vehicle, popularly known as “machito”, had been out of service for about a month, affecting the connection between the town and its surrounding communities.
The management was carried out thanks to the direct coordination between the Ministry of Transportation and the spokespersons of the parish's community councils and user committees, thus achieving a concrete solution to the transportation problem.
The regular service operates on the Los Teques - El Jarillo route, and the internal vehicle will especially strengthen mobilization during the weekends, when there is a greater presence of seasonal workers.
For her part, Flor Rodríguez, one of the users, expressed her gratitude to Governor Elio Serrano Carpio and stressed the importance of transportation.
“Having the TransMiranda route again not only improves the quality of life of neighbors, but it is crucial to boost the local economy. This will allow us to boost trade and the influx of visitors,” he added.
