More than 21,000 medical professionals participated in the Second Scientific Conference on Health in Venezuela

With the participation of more than 21,000 health professionals , 50 information stands and 147 specialized conferences, the Second Scientific Health Day 2025 was successfully concluded.

This is an event that reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to continuing education, biomedical research and the strengthening of the National Public Health System (SPNS) from the facilities of the Teresa Carreño Theater in the city of Caracas.

The activity was attended by the Sectorial Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, who described the Scientific Day on Health as a resounding success, highlighting the promotion of scientific knowledge for the benefit of the Venezuelan people, with emphasis on the modernization of the National Public Health System (SPNS) and the renewal of infrastructures and the incorporation of new professionals.

Likewise, he reaffirmed the commitment to a humanistic model of health, “let's bet on health and life and not the Western mercantilist model,” and called for improving the consumption of painkillers and promoting sustainable pharmacies, aware of the environmental impact, the ministry reported in a press release.
