National companies surprise Istanbul at the Made in Venezuela fair

This Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17, the great “Made in Venezuela” Business Fair begins in Türkiye, an event that promises to be a milestone in the promotion of Venezuelan products from more than 100 companies in the international market.
The fair is key to the Venezuelan government's economic strategy, bringing for the first time a massive exhibition of Venezuelan products to Eurasia, backed by binational agreements and an active diplomatic agenda.
The National Government activated the “Made in Venezuela” plan as the central axis of its economic diversification policy, seeking to position non-oil products in global markets.
This initiative is part of the Plan of the 7 Transformations (7Q) and the 13 economic engines, with the objective of strengthening the trade balance and supporting national entrepreneurs.
Trade between Venezuela and Türkiye increased by 29% in 2024, compared to 2023, so the non-oil trade balance has a market of approximately 500 million dollars. For this reason, the importance of this international fair, which will open the doors to Venezuelan products to a regional market.
To hold the fair, representatives of the Venezuelan government are already on Eastern soil and are making progress in concrete actions:
- Strategic oversight: The president of the Marca País Institute, Daniella Cabello, leads the preparations in Istanbul together with public and private delegations from the nation.
- Diplomatic agenda: Cabello holds key meetings with the Türkiye Exporters Association (TIM), where the Secretary General; Mr. Yigit Tufan Eser; the member of the Sectorial Council; Alican Yamanyilmaz, and the director, Metehan Ünal, were present.
- Trade relations: MUSIAD (industrial) and DEIK (foreign relations) were also companies with which Cabello held meetings where he spoke about the country's potential and his interest in strengthening trade relations between the two nations was reaffirmed.
- Ministerial Dialogue : The Minister of Popular Power for Trade Coromoto Godoy and the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, together with Ambassador Molina, met with Turkish Minister Ömer Bolat to promote the cooperation model within the framework of the Trade Development Agreement signed in 2018.
- Export goal: The fair will showcase more than 500 Venezuelan products, in order to promote economic diversification and national talent.
- Bilateral objective: This fair will consolidate Venezuela as a global player in the world's economies, and will also further strengthen the commercial ties it currently has with the sister country of Türkiye, with whom in recent years it has seen an increase in exchanges of agricultural products, textiles and manufactures.
- New commercial architecture: The Made in Venezuela business fair will allow the country to publicize its proposals in the field of tourism, and to build a new commercial architecture through the Deputy Ministry of Foreign Trade.
- Productive capacities: The space where the fair will be held will be divided into pavilions, where the country's productive capacities will be shown, and the legal security that Venezuela offers to investors and the development of Special Economic Zones will be explained.
- Business rounds: The fair has a B2B registration database designed to ensure the success of business rounds, which already has 72 registered companies that have requested 52 appointments from the companies that comprise it and that have already confirmed that they will accompany Venezuela in Turkiye, to ensure good business connectivity.
