National President: I call on young people to start governing now

This Thursday, November 13, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that unlike the youth of the fourth Republic, Venezuelan young people can now make the Dream Map a reality.

“Youth must be empowered in the territory with a lot of strength, the Committees that we have installed are the starting point,” he stressed.

In that sense, he argued that it is “the youth governing from now on, it's not that you are going to govern in the future, no, I call on you to govern from now on, youth power, power for youth in the territory. Youth with a mentality of power,” he said from Ezequiel Zamora Park, at the National Meeting with the Youth Committees of the Communes.

“Every day we have to make dreams come true. Youth in entrepreneurship, in sports, culture, music, poetry, in social and political leadership, in the positive and the great,” he said.

He also specified that young people must be prepared for the Bolivarian Militia, “everyone who voluntarily wants to participate (...) wherever the youth wants the Homeland they grow”.

The head of state recalled that “in the toughest years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 20, false siren songs took many young people to the north, where they are now being persecuted, subdued and beaten. They handcuff them, disappear and torture them.”

“Here, there are the youth who courageously resisted, who organized and advanced with their own efforts, today they are involved in the community, in joint development, improving in every aspect, consolidating and expanding,” he said.
