New International Police office in Anzoátegui strengthens the fight against transnational crime

With the opening of this space, the General Directorate of International Police reaches a total of 28 operational offices nationwide.

With the firm intention of counteracting organized crime and safeguarding the security of the Nation, the Deputy Minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System , MG. Danny Ferrer Sandrea, inaugurated this Wednesday, the new office of the General Directorate of International Police in the Eulalia Buroz seaport, located in the Sotillo municipality of Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui state.


This new office joins the efforts of the Venezuelan State to optimize the processes of oversight, investigation and police control at the main points of access and exit of the national territory.

During the protocol ceremony, the Deputy Minister was accompanied by CGS Howard Timaure, Director General of International Police, and C/G Gerardo Figueroa, head of the Directorate of Ports, Airports and Borders.

In this regard, Major General Ferrer Sandrea stressed that the Directorate General of International Police is a fundamental tool, “to respond to investigations carried out both inside and outside the territory.”

In addition, the Deputy Minister stressed that the activation of this headquarters strengthens the strategic fabric of the State in the face of various international criminal threats that attempt to violate the country's controls.

“This region is open to tourism, to foreign investment, open to good men and women, it is also a first line of defense against anyone who seeks to undermine peace,” he said.

The Major General reiterated the Executive's determination to maintain rigorous, articulated and uninterrupted surveillance on the commercial facades of eastern Venezuela.

“We will continue to be vigilant to ensure governance and that at the international level no crime remains unpunished.”
