The supreme leader of Plan Antonio José de Sucre, Pedro Infante, attended the staging of the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, played by actors from the Petare parish, in Miranda state, during the night of last Good Friday.

“We came to congratulate and accompany our people who have been carrying out this viacrucis for 40 years,” said Infante, who also highlighted the presence of the Venezuelan apostolic nuncio during the event.

He also stressed that from the national government “we are convinced that Petare has a lot to give, for the faith and the parishioners”.

The Viacrucis traditionally consists of 14 stations that represent the most crucial moments of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ, from his condemnation to his burial. In some cases, a fifteenth station is included to commemorate their resurrection.
