Popular Power and social sectors of Aragua debated Criminal Justice Reform

Today, Monday, June 15, a day of national consultation for criminal judicial transformation was held, with the installation of working groups composed of communes, women's organizations, justices of the peace, condominium councils and actors of the Justice System of the state of Aragua.
The activity took place at the Teatro Ateneo de Maracay (TAN), where the Executive Secretary of the Presidential Commission for the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform and Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Devoe Márquez, stressed that this process seeks to jointly build a diagnosis and design the road map for the structural transformation of criminal justice.
Within the framework of these concrete actions, Devoe announced that “from the Public Ministry, we have reactivated and called for the public tender of credentials and opposition for the provision of the positions of prosecutors and assistant prosecutors of the Public Ministry. This is going to be developing progressively in the different states.”
The day, which was supported by the governor of the state of Aragua Joana Sánchez and the Ombudsman, Egleé González.
The Public Defender, Daniel Ramírez, began a day of debate that will extend throughout the territory of this state as part of the development of the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform.
