This Monday, February 3rd, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, convened a meeting with the Motorized Movement, with the purpose of discussing various issues, in particular those concerning reckless motorcycle driving and disrespect for traffic signs.

The initiative is due to the high number of traffic accidents in the country, both involving cars and motorcycles, “I want it to go down to zero accidents and we have to get in order”.

“I want to address that issue: your health and your safety, I want to protect the motorized family in Venezuela. I was very motivated by the words of the Prosecutor today, he said in the broadcast of his program Maduro Live de Repente.

He recommended that people, for the well-being of the family and the community, not drive vehicles or motorcycles if alcoholic beverages were ingested.

On this subject, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, commented that on many occasions motorized vehicles “comment on the imprudence of eating the light (traffic light with red light), the motorized one always drives like very fast, and all these precautionary measures are skipped”.
