In a meeting full of revolutionary commitment, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received Manuel Zelaya, former president and current presidential advisor of Honduras, this Friday, January 10, at the Miraflores Palace.
This meeting took place after the solemn swearing in of President Maduro before the Legislative Branch for his third term (2025-2031), which was also attended by Luis Redondo, president of the National Congress of Honduras.
The election of Xiomara Castro as president of Honduras in 2021 marked a milestone in relations between Honduras and Venezuela. Under his leadership, both nations have worked hard to re-establish and strengthen their diplomatic and cooperation ties, overcoming years of tensions and adverse policies that affected bilateral relations.
This relationship is based on a shared commitment to the independence and sovereignty of Latin American peoples.
The Bolivarian Revolution and the Honduran People continue to be beacons of hope and resistance in the region, demonstrating that unity and solidarity are essential to face the challenges of the 21st century.
