President Maduro highlighted Foreign Minister Gil's participation in an OTCA meeting in defense of the Amazon

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that Foreign Minister Yván Gil held a meeting in Suriname where he participated in the meeting of ministers from the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (OTCA) region.
“He met with several foreign ministers at the meeting to present Q6, which has to do with ecological balance, climate change and ecological transformation,” he explained.
He added that the ministers present at the OTCA meeting “were amazed by the presentation of the content of our 6T (...) All the Amazonian governments were at the meeting and Venezuela fulfilled its commitments, tasks and duties with the Amazon by being there. The Amazon is the great lung that guarantees the world's balance and we must protect it,” he said.
“The Amazon is ours, it's South American and we must continue to defend and protect it. The big lung that guarantees the ecological balance of the world,” he emphasized.
In addition, the Head of State noted that among the countries that were present at this meeting, are Guyana, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, among others; nations that are defending human existence, which is guaranteed by the protection of the Amazonian lung.
