President Maduro inaugurated Mega Robotics Center in Caracas to train scientists

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated Mega Robotics Center in Caracas to train scientists, with the purpose of promoting science and technology in the community.
From Miranda state, he supervised the achievements of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission, at the facilities of the Venezuelan Scientific and Technological Pole, which houses the Institute of Engineering Foundation for Research and Technological Development (FIIDT), and made a visit to the Sucre de Catia parish, where the aforementioned nucleus is located.
In this new space, children and young people will be served, from four communes of the point and circle, seeking to become a hotbed for future generations of scientists and technologists in the country.
In her speech, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, explained the importance of this project and commented on the joy of children at the arrival of robotics in their communities.
“Our children are building robots, and with science and technology they are at the forefront,” he said.
He explained that it is expected to serve more than 6,000 children and young people from the communes with training and information days, in three shifts, thus ensuring that everyone has access to knowledge in this center.
For her part, the Deputy Minister of Communalization of Science for Production, of the Ministry of the People's Power of Science and Technology, Danmarys Hernández, stressed that this new space is a dream come true for science promoters in communities, because it allows them to teach Programming, Robotics, Electronics and useful skills for the future of the Homeland.
In addition, the Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, explained that the initiative came from a dream of the boys and girls of the community, who made the request to adults during the last Popular Consultation.
“In less than six weeks we already have this technological training center,” he said.
He stressed that the Fabricio Ojeda Nucleus will contribute to training scientists who will contribute to the technological, economic, industrial and agricultural development of Venezuela.
