The President of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the
immortal legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez on the 33rd anniversary of the
civic-military rebellion of February 4, 1992, the Day of National Dignity.
Through a
message published on his Telegram channel, the head of state pointed out that this historic
event is “the light that brought us, in its first flashes, national dignity, betrayed and tarnished for centuries,
the spirit of rebellion and the rescue of
the original Bolivarian project.”
He stressed that February
4 “was the day of the Bolivarian military rebellion against a
neoliberal model of oligarchic domination, a colonizing project of imperialism.
Someone had to face it and that's how our Commander Hugo Chávez appeared,
to say: 'Down with the oligarchy! Down with imperialism! The Bolivar Revolution, of
the liberators and the liberators, has arrived again, '” he quoted.
In this regard,
the Dignitary highlighted the strength and hope that “awakened in the
hearts of those of us who woke up suddenly, seeing what was happening in our
homeland... for humble people, what would be the greatest
hope of 'For Now', our eternal leader, Hugo Chávez, to whom we say: Thank you for your rebellion, thank you for your courage!
Long live Chávez! Long live
February 4th!”
