The dismantling of criminal organizations dedicated to human trafficking, better known as coyote gangs, is one of the issues that the National Government has discussed with its counterpart in the United States, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported.

“We have provided new elements, as a result of our investigations, on the functioning of these criminal human trafficking organizations,” said the Head of State during his participation in the XII Extraordinary Summit of ALBA-TCP.

In this regard, Maduro expressed his aspirations that ALBA as a regional block can raise this issue to other governments. In addition, he called on the member countries of the bloc to work in a coordinated manner to put an end to these organizations.

“In Venezuela, these gangs are linked to the highest leadership of the extremist, corrupt and bandit opposition that we have had in the last 8 years. All the names of that leadership that led the conspiracy against Venezuela are involved there,” he stressed.

In this regard, he pointed out that these groups linked to the extreme right charge Venezuelan migrants between 10 thousand and 3 thousand dollars to take them to the United States.
