From the city of Maracaibo, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the new ruler of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, to promote together with the national government a security policy and combat against drug trafficking and mafias that guarantees peace in the entity.

“We are going to make Zulia a territory free of drug traffickers, assassins, terrorists and we are going to make it fall whoever falls; whoever eats the light we will fall on it whatever it is called, our pulse will not shake,” he emphasized.

During the swearing in of Governor Caldera, he highlighted the constant work carried out by the Bolivarian Government with its security forces to ensure that the state of Zulia is not invaded by Colombian violence and drug trafficking.

In this regard, he called on the people of Zulia to be guarantors of peace in the entity and thus guarantee peace throughout the country.

“If you can have a country in peace, yes you can,” he said.
