The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro Moros, highlighted the social and political power that the Bolivarian Revolution has managed to build in these 25 years, which has made it possible to face the aggressions of imperialism in a victorious way.
“Today, the Revolution has a force and a power that if imperialism were to make a stroke of the hand, from the moment the order of operations was issued, the Venezuelan working class would go on a general strike where not a single pin would move. The one who understood, understood,” he said.
From the Bolivar Theater, where the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV and the IV of the JPSUV was installed, he emphasized that in the process of democratization and the construction of an immense social and political power, there is currently a powerful labor, student, youth, peasant and communal power.
“This is a sign of the immense social power that Venezuela has and now the political power with the PSUV with the Integral Base Bolivarian Committee,” he stressed.
He compared this grassroots power with opposition extremism, pointing out that “the anti-homeland right has neither internal political power nor social power, nor project nor leadership.”
“The Sayonist extreme right is nothing on the national stage, it is nothing today and it will be nothing tomorrow, and we must ensure that this disgusting fascism never re-emerges and how are we going to guarantee it? Working on the project of democratization and organization of the People!” , he said.
In this regard, he pointed out that the PSUV must continue working to “articulate new forms of action that increasingly democratize our country.”
