Prevention and public security bodies are deployed in the 13 municipalities of the state of Monagas, serving families affected in the state by the passage of tropical waves.

The governor of Monagas, Ernesto Luna, during a telephone contact with the Al Aire program, reported that 322 people have been affected as a result of the heavy rains.

Luna explained that the agricultural road in the northern area of the state, which is specifically served in the municipalities of Caripe, Piar and Acosta, where coffee, orange and vegetables are produced, was affected, however, the impact was minimized after preventive work carried out through the Superior Body for Risk Mitigation, in which the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the Ministry of Public Works, have participated, the various mayors, citizen security bodies and public servants of the government.

“We are closely monitoring the growth of the Orinoco River in the south of Monagas state,” Luna said, adding that they are continuing to harvest some fallen trees that have interrupted the electrical system and that, thanks to the work of CORPOELEC, was solved.

He explained that the most critical points regarding precipitation levels have been 75% to 80% of the distribution of the vital liquid supply, interrupted as a result of turbidity in the rivers, which has somewhat paralyzed work on water treatment plants, but has not been 100% affected.
