‎El Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, urged international jurists to reject the aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela.

‎Durante his speech at the Meeting of Jurists in Defense of International Law , Saab specified that “when it comes to violations of international law, I have to say that this started when Hugo Chávez was sworn in as president in January of the year 99; when the dirty war began, the media campaign calling him a dictator despite having been elected with millions of votes”.

‎Además, reiterated that “they have used (...) lawfare to overthrow both the Government of Hugo Chávez and that of Nicolás Maduro. They have carried out destabilizing actions that I have called embryos of the Civil War with dead and wounded, as were the so-called guarimbas”.

‎ “They have done despicable actions, such as assassination attempts with drones on August 4, 2018; maritime incursions such as (...) Operation Gideon in May 2020. They have carried out unprecedented actions such as using nuclear warheads, missiles, boats of a disproportionate size and never seen before to allegedly fight drug trafficking and to kill serially, an estimated 80 people; who came in small fishing boats,” Saab added.
