PSUV rejects threat from the President of the United States against Venezuela (+ Communiqué)

In a statement, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) strongly rejected the new threat launched by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, against Venezuela.

“Mr. Trump, in a clear violation of international law, free trade and free navigation, has made public his intention to execute a total maritime blockade against Venezuela, with the absurd and insane warning that he would order the action: “until all the oil, land, and other assets that were previously stolen from us return to the United States,” the red awning in the document denounced, noting that these statements make clear the intentions of imperialism to want to steal the wealth of Venezuela.

Faced with this, the PSUV reaffirmed “its unwavering commitment to the defense of national sovereignty. In perfect popular, military and police union, the people of Venezuela, forged in the struggle for independence, will know how to defend their historic rights and triumph on the path of peace and dignity.”
