Public Ministry agreed to review the deprivation of liberty of 413 people linked to post-election violence

Between December 26 and 30, the Public Ministry, in coordination with the Judiciary, agreed to review 413 measures imposed on people linked to the acts of violence following the presidential election of July 28.

This was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, in a statement, in which he explained that this action brings to 1,369 the number of releases granted to defendants in the framework of respect and unrestricted observance of the principles and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic.

“The Public Ministry remains firm in its position as a party of good faith, objective and impartial, in favor of the defense of Peace, Justice and Human Rights,” reads the statement released on the Instagram account of the Public Ministry.
