The Red Art Foundation held its craft market this weekend in the spaces of the Science Museum in Caracas, in which 15 ceramic artisans and chocolatiers paid homage to Venezuelan chocolate.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, attendees were able to purchase handmade works in stoneware and ceramics, inspired by the culture of cacao. The artisan Norens Busquets, from the state of Aragua, enchanted those present with the preparation and tasting of chocolate.

“Venezuelan chocolate is exquisite and unparalleled, with a very peculiar flavor. Since I was a child, my parents prepared this drink and the knowledge stuck in me; they have been making chocolate for more than 30 years,” said Busquets.

For his part, the master ceramist Richard Mendoza, from Miranda State, demonstrated his creativity and ingenuity by creating ocarinas out of red clay, highlighting the beauty of this indigenous musical instrument. “Here I show you the process for making clay pieces, accompanied by the homage to Venezuelan chocolate in this artisanal market,” he said.

This third day served as a prelude to invite all Caracas residents, partygoers, brotherhoods, practitioners and demonstrators of traditional culture, to visit the fourth edition of the market on 28 and 29 June, which will honor San Juan Bautista.

The Red Art Foundation urged artisans, artists and collectors to participate in future editions of the Mercadillo en el Eje del Buen Vivir. In addition, he indicated that interested parties can reserve their space through registrations through the social networks of the Red Art Foundation.
