SAIME warns of fake Instagram account

The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) issued a statement to alert the Venezuelan people regarding the new type of scam carried out through a falsified account on Instagram.
The institution is alert to protect citizens from these fraudulent actions, which may compromise their security and personal data.
In a message released through its official channels, SAIME identified the Instagram account @redsocialsaimevzla as an impostor who is dedicated to carrying out scams.
“The SAIME informs the Venezuelan people that the redsocialsaimevzla Instagram account is FALSE and is designed to deceive users,” reads the statement issued by the entity that operates under the Ministry for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.
In addition, with the objective of promoting the security of citizens, SAIME reiterated what their real official social media accounts are.
The institution also stressed that all procedures and procedures must be carried out exclusively through its official website, www.saime.gob.ve, guaranteeing users a safe and reliable process.
SAIME urged citizens to remain alert and not to be tempted to use external agencies that could be linked to fraud.
Through this alert, SAIME reaffirms its commitment to the mission of caring for the integrity and well-being of all Venezuelans, promoting the constant verification of the authenticity of services and accounts that operate online.
