On April 12, 2002 , the Venezuelan fascist right, led by Henrique Capriles Radonski, mayor of the then municipality of Baruta, maintained a violent siege of the Cuban Embassy in Venezuela for 36 hours during the coup against Commander Hugo Chávez.
Capriles robbed the Cuban embassy violating international diplomatic laws with the false rumor that the Vice President of the Republic at the time, Diosdado Cabello, was in the compound.
Seeing the resistance of Cuban diplomats, the right wing proceeded to cut off his public services.
It left them unable to communicate, thus violating their rights. However, they failed to break the morals of those officials who courageously defeated the fascist forces.
