The National Government distributed more than 300,000 toys to children in Monagas

More than 300,000 toys were distributed to children in the 13 municipalities of the state of Monagas as part of the Happy Christmas 2024 plan.
As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), this initiative includes the more than 800 toys that they gave directly to the hotbed of the homeland of the Warao ethnic group, located south of Maturín, capital of the state.
The social event was led by the Deputy Minister of Indigenous Peoples, Yelitza Barillas; together with the Single Tourism Authority of the state of Monagas, Rosy Salazar, and the Indigenous Councilor of the Maturín municipality, Melitza Barillas.
Salazar reported that a total of 16 indigenous communities in Maturín were treated with gifts, including Masijare, Boca de Janeira, Dauwaja, Ojiruma, Boca de Tigre, Yabinoko, Ojirujana, Nanarina, Boca de Bujita, Ideas Juntas, Wana, Monte Quemado, Isla de Venado, Jarupuna, Isla Santiago and Caño Papao.
