The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom announced on Tuesday the expansion of its sanctions list to include 35 new individuals and legal entities linked to strategic activities of the Russian Federation.

Financial and operational restrictions are not limited exclusively to Russian territory, but extend to entities located in Cameroon, China and Thailand. This measure seeks to weaken the supply and logistical support networks that sustain the Kremlin's external operations in the current geopolitical context.

The new provision establishes the immediate freezing of any asset or bank account that sanctioned companies hold under British jurisdiction, blocking their ability to carry out transactions in the London financial system.

Likewise, natural persons identified in this list are prohibited from entering the country and will not be able to carry out any type of commercial activity with citizens or companies of the United Kingdom. These administrative actions are part of a coordinated strategy to increase the economic cost of those who facilitate support for Moscow's policies.

British authorities stressed that the inclusion of companies in nations such as China and Thailand responds to intelligence work that detected commercial triangulations aimed at evading previous controls.

The British Government reiterated that the objective of these sanctions is to cut off the flow of resources and critical technological components that reach the hands of the Russian defense industry. By expanding the geographical reach of restrictions, London sends a direct message about the consequences of collaborating with sanctioned sectors regardless of the company's geographical location.

For its part, the announcement has generated immediate reactions in international markets and among Western allies, who are evaluating similar measures to harmonize diplomatic pressure.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that it will continue to monitor the activities of global support networks to make regular adjustments to its blacklist as necessary. With this update, the United Kingdom reinforces its zero-tolerance stance against sanctions evasion and reaffirms its commitment to international security through tools of direct economic pressure.
