Venezuela achieves its first victory in the Mexicali 2025 Caribbean Series

Cardenales de Lara, representative of Venezuela, won his first victory in the Mexicali 2025 Caribbean Series, after beating Indios de Mayaguez de Puerto Rico 10 to 5 races.
In the match played at the El Nido de los Águilas stadium in Mexico, Puerto Rico went up in the second inning 2-0.
In the third chapter, Venezuela scored 1 race, but at the close of the game the Indians added 3 more, to leave the score 5-1.
Venezuela was not intimidated and in the fourth inning with scores from Alexi Amarista and Rangel Ravelo set the score to 5-3.
In the legs of Ildemaro Vargas came the fourth score for Venezuela and Danry Vasquez with a solo home run in the fifth chapter equalized the score 5-5.
For his part, the Red Bird, Hernán Pérez broke the tie and began the comeback with a double that brought two runs, in the seventh inning 7-5.
Then, in the eighth inning Ravelo shot an unstoppable that brought 2 more to the plate and put 9-5, while Jecksson Flores scored the last run of the match to make the final 10-5.
With this victory, Venezuela is in third place in the standings, 2 and a half games behind first place.
The next match for the Venezuelan team, which will be their last match of the first round, is this Tuesday, February 4, against Japan Breeze at 9:00pm (Ven Venezuela time).
