Venezuela and Vietnam strengthen cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture

The Minister of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, held a meeting this Monday, July 7th, with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam accredited to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, in order to advance a joint agenda of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting is part of a joint agenda, whose objective is to promote exchange in the field of aquaculture experiences; organize visits by Vietnamese investors to Venezuela, as well as technicians and scientists, to publicize the potential of the sector with a view to strengthening and strengthening cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture between the two nations.

The consolidation of fishing and aquaculture strategies between Venezuela and Vietnam represents an important step in the search for joint solutions for the sustainable development of these sectors, the ministerial body reports on its Instagram account.

This meeting is part of the Bolivarian Government's foreign policy, aimed at diversifying international relations and consolidating strategic alliances with sister countries, under the principles of cooperation and friendship that govern their bilateral relationship, based on the country's economic development and food sovereignty.

Both nations have signed a series of agreements in recent years. These include memorandums and letters of intent related to oil, gas, industrial investment and agricultural development.
