Venezuela congratulates Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the Revolution

The National Government, headed by President Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the Cuban people on the 66th anniversary of the coming to power of the Revolution led by Commander Fidel Castro.

Through a statement released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on his social networks, the resistance that the Cuban people have had in the face of the attacks of imperialism and its inhuman economic blockade was highlighted on his social networks

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulates the heroic people of Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, a beacon of dignity, resistance and social justice that continues to guide the peoples of the world in their struggle for emancipation.

Today we remember with admiration that glorious January 1, 1959, when a group of courageous people, led by Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, together with figures such as Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, marked the beginning of a historic project that opened the doors to a future of sovereignty and self-determination for Marti's Homeland.

In this year 2025, characterized by geopolitical complexities and the resurgence of hegemonic currents that seek to subdue sovereign nations, the Cuban Revolution stands as a strong moral and ethical guide, reminding us that only through courage, unity and solidarity can we face the challenges that threaten justice and global peace.

Cuba, with its resistance to imperialist aggressions and its inhuman economic blockade, is an indelible example of revolutionary firmness. The Bolivarian Government reaffirms Venezuela's unwavering loyalty to its sister people, with the commitment to strengthening our unity in building a multipolar world, where the principles of dignity and solidarity prevail over the petty interests of those who attempt to impose their will.

Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez showed us the way to consolidate the Great Homeland that Simon Bolivar and José Marti dreamed of: a united, free and sovereign Latin and Caribbean America. That ideal lives today in every joint action between Cuba and Venezuela, twinned by history and hope for a shared future.
