Venezuela greets the Chinese people as they commemorate the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's return to the Chinese Homeland

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its most fraternal greetings to President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party of China and the heroic Chinese people, as the 80th anniversary of the return of the Province of Taiwan to the Chinese homeland is commemorated.

In a statement released by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, Venezuela also reiterated its unrestricted support for the principle of One China, as well as its willingness to continue strengthening the All-Time and Test Strategic Partnership with the People's Republic of China.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its most fraternal greetings to President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party of China and the heroic Chinese people, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the return of the Taiwan Province to the Chinese Homeland, a historic event achieved after the Victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and in the World Anti-Fascist War.

Venezuela pays tribute to the more than 35 million Chinese martyrs who with heroism and dignity faced Japanese imperial barbarism and defended national unity. This sacrifice remains a universal example of the struggle for sovereignty and the historical right of peoples to their territorial integrity.

From the Homeland of Bolivar and Chávez, we reiterate our unrestricted support for the principle of One China, and we support the just and legitimate cause of national reunification, as well as the construction of a multicentric and multipolar world based on respect and peace.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its willingness to continue strengthening the All-Trial and All-Time Strategic Partnership with the People's Republic of China, for the benefit of shared development, solidarity cooperation and the well-being of our peoples.
