Venezuela will be present at international dance festivals in Portugal

At this international event, “Traditions of Venezuela” will share the stage with cultures from different countries

The Music and Dance group “Traditions of Venezuela” is preparing for a tour of Portugal, where it will participate in five international festivals representing the country during the months of July and August 2025, exhibiting the vast richness of our popular and traditional culture.

The group, led by teacher and musician Juan Pérez, will present a diverse, complete and vibrant repertoire that highlights the Venezuelan affirmative at the following events:

From July 14 to 20, the Alto Minho International Festival; from July 16 to 25, the Festimaiorca; from July 26 to August 4, the Rio Festival; from August 03 to 10, the CINFĀES FOLK International Folklore Festival; and from August 11 to 16, the Raizes FolkFest Festival.

The group is made up of a talented cast of women and men, makers of traditional Venezuelan music and dance. We are proud to know that we will have a beautiful and dignified representation that promises to offer the Portuguese public and other nationalities a unique experience, highlighting the fusion of indigenous, African and European influences that characterize Venezuela's cultural diversity.

At this international event, “Traditions of Venezuela” will share the stage with cultures from different countries, including Palestine, Argentina, Ivory Coast, Armenia, Indonesia, Macedonia, Guadalupe, the Basque Country, the United States, Bulgaria, Hungary and Mexico, in a true global meeting of traditions.
