Venezuelan Yohandri Granado won gold in the taekwondo open in Luxembourg

The Venezuelan taekwondo delegation achieved an outstanding performance at the Luxembourg Open, winning one gold medal from Yohandri Granado and two bronze medals at the event held last weekend, June 7 and 8.

Yohandri Granado, who was crowned in the -63 kg category, this time he beat the competitor from the Netherlands, Joep Van Limpt, in the final by a score of 2-0.

In addition to the gold medal, the athletes Virginia Dellan and Hillary Clemente also took the podium, achieving third place in the -49 and -67 kilograms respectively.

Dellan beat Ireland's Byrne Ruby 2-1 in the quarterfinals, but lost 2-0 to France's Fofana Mah Teninba in the semifinal.

For her part, Hillary Clemente defeated Luxembourgish Isabelle Faber 2-0 in the quarterfinals, but in the next match she fell equally against Gala Mehnana Ines, the Ministry of People's Power for Sports reported in a press release.
