Women's delegations from Yaracuy and Lara lead the National Field Hockey Championship

The delegations of Yaracuy and Aragua led the opening day of the women's category of the U18 National Field Hockey Championship with a couple of victories each.
At the facilities of the Aquilino Juares Sports Center in the city of Cabudare, in the Palavecino municipality of Lara state, the Yaracuyans beat Lara 1-0 and Trujillo 8-0, while the Aragueños did the same 4-0 and 5-0 against Portuguesa (Páez) and Portuguesa (Tigres).
These victories place Yaracuy and Aragua in first and second place in the standings with a score of 2-0, followed by those selected from Trujillo (0-1), Lara (0-1), Portuguesa (Páez) (0-1), Portuguesa (Tigres) (0-2) and Barinas closes with no games played so far.
As far as men's action is concerned, it had the victories of Lara (2) 5-1 and 2-0 over Portuguesa (Páez) and Portuguesa (Tigres), while Lara (1) beat Yaracuy 4-1, La Guaira subdued Portuguesa (Tigres) 1-0 and Yaracuy sentenced La Guaira 1-0, respectively, according to the Ministry of Sport press.
The second team from the state of Lara leads the men's division with a record of two victories, accompanied by Lara (1), La Guaira and Yaracuy with one victory each, while Portuguesa (Tigres) and Portuguesa (Paéz) sink into the pit, accompanied by the Barinas delegation, which has not yet made its debut in the competition.
