World Poetry Festival will fill Aragua with verses from July 15 to 19

With the sensitivity and solidarity embrace of the people of Palestine, the invited country, and the motto “Place of Stay”, the 19th World Poetry Festival of Venezuela 2025 will tour the state of Aragua, from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19, with poetic-musical recitals in eight municipalities of the entity.
The nineteenth edition of this world festival of the creative word is headquartered in the city of Caracas, from July 14 to 20, and pays homage to Belén Ojeda, a poet, musician and translator with a long and outstanding career, and, in the state of Aragua, to Marcos Veroes, poet and storyteller.
A space for the meeting of the poetic voices of the world, the Festival will include the participation of poets from 40 countries of our America, Africa, Asia and Europe and more than a hundred national poets.
On Friday, July 18, international poets will travel throughout the national territory, including our Guiana Essequiba, where they will participate in recitals, using the poetic word “Place of Stay”, for peace and brotherhood, in each of the states visited.
In the state of Aragua on Friday, July 18, starting at 9:30 a.m., the Foyer of the Maracay Opera Theater, Girardot municipality, will host the Central Gala with the Aragueño poets Marcos Veroes and Kristel Guirado, and the international guests: Lucía Estrada (Colombia), Nabiha Hamid (Palestine) and Khalid Raussoni (Morocco).
There will be a special presentation by the girl Anyelis Granadillo, winner of 3rd place in 2nd place. Reynaldo Pérez So National High School Poetry Festival, in the range from 1st to 3rd year. Competition, organized by the Juan Calzadilla National School of Poetry, with the participation of more than 400 students from all over the country.
The singers Hanoi, with a well-known and extensive career, and Camila, the value of the new generations of the necessary song, accompanied by guitarists William “Kachaky” Paz and Alejandro Tinedo, and the Unearte Solo Choir, directed by Lourdes Haydée Nieves, will give the musical note to the meeting.
In the same way, from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 July, poetic-musical recitals will be held, starting at 10 a.m., in seven other municipalities of the entity (Ezequiel Zamora, José Antonio Sucre, San Sebastián de Los Reyes, Mario Briceño Iragorry, José Félix Ribas, Santiago Mariño and José Ángel Lamas), in which more than 50 poets from the state of Aragua, singer-songwriters and musical and dance groups will take part in houses of culture, plaza and library.
