Yonathan Daza is the LVBP's Best Player of the Fourth Week

Outfielder Yonathan Daza de Leones from
Caracas won the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) Player of the Week award.
This is the first time in his career that Daza
has won the award, after standing out with the wood in the period from November
4 to 9.
Daza led the circuit in the period described
in bases reached (22), extra bases (5, equalized with Carlos Jesús Pérez, Lenyn
Sosa and Leandro Cedeño), RBIs (10) and triples (2, tied by Eduardo Escobar and Antonio Piñero), LVBP press review.
The right slugger, in turn, compiled an
astronomical offensive line of .423/ .423/.846 for OPS of 1,269 in the six
games played this week, the fourth of the qualifying round, which Caracas finished with a record of 5-1.
Yonathan Daza, 31, complemented
his performance with 11 hits, including two home runs and a double. He scored
five lines, struck out five times and received no tickets in the seventies.
After the week, the Aragüeño set new
personal records of pushes (18), steps on the plate (18), total cushions (58) and
tribeys (3) in six seasons in the LVBP. Meanwhile, he raised his
total number of volacercas to five, leaving behind his previous
individual cap of two.
Daza also leads the
circuit in extra bases (13), unstoppables (32), engomes (18), triples and
pads reached, with solid averages of .348 /.358/.630 in the championship.
The native of Maracay garnered 44% of the
votes of the accredited press to cover the incidents of the campaign. He beat
the pitcher Harol González (14%) from Caribes de Anzoátegui and the patrolman
Simon Muzziotti (14%) from the Águilas del Zulia.
Also considered by the voters were
pitcher Zac Grotz (13%), infielder Máximo Acosta (8%) and streamer
William Cuevas (2%) of the Sharks, as well as the pitcher José Marcos Torres (2%) of the Lions.

Week award are: Aldrem Corridor (Lions) first week, Balbino
Fuenmayor (Caribbean) second week, Harold Castro (Lions) third week and Yonathan Daza (Lions) fourth week
