Yván Gil: The United States uses its capacity to generate death and destruction to threaten another country

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, during his speech at the Meeting of Jurists in Defense of International Law, assured that Venezuela does not have a controversy with the United States.

‎ "Venezuela has no controversy with the United States of America, Venezuela is a free, sovereign country that tries to be attacked unilaterally by a member country of the United Nations; that uses its capacity to generate death and destruction to threaten another country,” he said.

‎En in this sense, he explained that “there are no tensions that must be resolved or a dialogue that must be established between two parties that are in dispute over any international argument, what there is is an attempt at invasion and aggression, an attempt to subjugate a free and sovereign population in violation of all international principles of law”.

‎Alertó that this is not only an aggression against humanity and a violation of the Zone of Peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, but also an aggression against the United Nations System, "which established, at the time, fundamental bases for certain specific elements: peace, security, international, international cooperation, human rights and development”.

‎Finalmente, urged the Peoples to reject aggressions against Venezuela, to avoid a conflict whose consequences would affect the entire region.
