ZODI La Guaira, Miranda, Zulia, Falcón and Nueva Esparta continue to carry out Defense Exercises

This Saturday, October 25, the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zones (ZODI) La Guaira, Miranda, Zulia, Falcón and Nueva Esparta, and the Strategic Integral Defense Regions (REDI) of Caracas, continue to carry out the Costa Independencia 200 Defense Exercises, in order to guarantee coastal security.

During the exercises, coast guard generals, coastal surveillance units and units of the Bolivarian National Police were mobilized to ensure security.

The tasks were carried out at the 18 specific points of the REDI Capital, to cover 340 kilometers of coastline, VTV reports.

For its part, in the ZODI Nueva Esparta, defensive positions were consolidated on the 315 kilometers of coastline of the island entity; actions that included land and maritime patrols to reinforce the optimal point in preparing the state.

In parallel, military officials were deployed at nine strategic points in the Gulf of Venezuela, in ZODI Zulia, in order to increase observation posts with the use of the Bolivarian Militia in the coastal strip.

In addition, land and coastal patrols were carried out, as well as marine and pier checks, with the purpose of expanding surveillance and control of land and maritime routes, zones and areas along the 179 km of the Zulian coast to gather information on possible enemy action.

Subsequently, at ZODI Miranda, maritime and land patrols were carried out, including scrutiny with the Rapid Reaction Units (URRA) in the territory, as well as the establishment of observation and surveillance points to obtain an optimal level of preparation.

In the vicinity of Morrocoy National Park, Falcón state, maritime, land and aerospace defense resources were deployed at eight points in the Falconian state.
