A batch of 135,000 vaccines arrived in the country to reinforce the National Immunization Program

The sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, reported that in the early hours of this Sunday, November 16, a batch of 135,000 vaccines arrived at Simón Bolívar de Maiquetía International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, that are part of the National Immunization Program carried out by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS).
Through his social networks, he announced that the arrival of this shipment, through Peace Diplomacy, from the Republic of India, contains Pentavalent, SRP, Pneumococcus, PCV10 and Rotavirus vaccines.
The Minister of People's Power for Science and Technology, also expressed her gratitude to the Government and People of the Republic of India, as well as to its ambassador to the country, PK Ashok Babu, “who accompanied us to receive these new vaccines for Venezuela at Maiquetia International Airport.”
He stressed that “this is a necessary agenda that vindicates the peace relations we have with sister countries in the world such as India. It's a policy of peace and not of war.”
“With the Republic of India, Venezuela has signed a digital cooperation agreement with the objective of strengthening technological development in key sectors such as health, education and government management,” he said.
Jiménez also highlighted that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro “continues to strengthen the national health system and the welfare of the Venezuelan people, forging international alliances that demonstrate that, through cooperation and mutual respect, a path of peace and hope can be built for Venezuela.”
