The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America -Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, rejected the statements made by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, regarding the revocation of the approval of Brazil's representation of Argentine interests.
Almagro described Venezuela's decision as “a threat contrary to law (...)” so, Arreaza said on his telegram channel: “the General Sicario of the OAS must be constantly being reminded of the most elementary rules of international law. According to article 41 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, in its part 3: The premises of the mission must not be used in a manner incompatible with the functions of the mission, as set out in the present Convention,” he said.
He also stated that “from the premises of the Argentine embassy in Venezuela, a group of extreme criminals is planning attacks against President Maduro, Vice President Rodríguez and the constitutional order. As is customary, Almagro comes to the defense of his fellow agents of imperialism, promoters of acts of violence, terrorism and destabilization,” he said.
Arreaza stressed that “the OAS has always been a colonial ministry, but with Almagro it has become just another department of the CIA.”
