Anzoátegui: Ciudad Mural celebrated two years of art and visual memory at Clarines

With regard to the celebration of the two-year celebration of “Painting Storiesat the Ciudad Mural International Muralism Festival, the Clarines Historical Museum opened its doors to a photographic exhibition that collects the visual memory of this artistic and multicultural project.

With the exhibition of 40 images from the 12 editions held in Venezuela, the gallery presents a journey through the impact of muralism in different regions of the country, an initiative that began in June 2023 in Clarines, consolidating it as the museum city of Anzoátegui.

The producer of Ciudad Mural, Miguel Herrera, celebrated the trajectory of the event backed by Governor Luis Marcano and accompanied by muralists, citizens and artists.

In addition, he highlighted the creation of 11 open-air galleries, 177 murals and the participation of more than 164 national and international artists, who have captured the Venezuelan identity on canvas with the energy and joy of each community that has received them.

After touring locations such as Barcelona, Naiguatá, Coro, Ciudad Orinoco, Mérida, Caripe, Choroní, Píritu, Lechería and Isnotú, Ciudad Mural returns to Clarines to celebrate its second anniversary from 2 to 7 June with a diverse artistic program.

During this week of meeting, the public will be able to enjoy training activities, traditional and contemporary dance, painting, collage, photography, poetry, music, workshops, talks, cultural exchanges, gastronomic tastings and more artistic expressions.

With this commemoration, the International Muralism Festival reaffirms its commitment to the country's visual and cultural identity, to promote urban art as a bridge connecting communities and artists.
