On the occasion of the swearing in of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committee (CBBI) in Maracay, in the state of Aragua, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that “the lesson that our people have given us is an authentic sign that we don't have the leadership of this Revolution, it is the people.”

He explained that the traditional political structure creates groups between leaders and authorities, but leaves the People aside, “and the People are always right.”

“I'm not saying that here in the state of Aragua it's happening, I'm just making the comment and I'm doing it as a revolutionary self-criticism for Aragua and any state in Venezuela,” he clarified.

Cabello reaffirmed that a leader should not “surround himself with jerks, because they are good for that, to pull the ball, but they usually lie, so that the boss doesn't say anything.”

He said that the leader goes to the street and reports that “everything is nice and beautiful, but she never spoke to the people. That contact, sisters and brothers, must never be lost, and whoever has lost it, seek it, find it and put themselves at the command of the People.”

“If the people are good to vote for you, they must also be good to govern,” he said.
