Base Assemblies begin for the nomination of candidates across the country (+27 July)

Grassroots Assemblies begin across the country for the nomination of candidates for the elections of Mayors and Municipal Councils on July 27, 2025.

From the First of May United Commune of the Santa Rosalía parish, in Caracas, Alba Arocha, one of the participants in the assembly assured that she is very happy that the election of the candidates is made with the participation of Popular Power.

“President Nicolás Maduro is giving us a vote of confidence to elect our mayors and councilors,” he said.

For her part, the director of educational instruction 1 de Mayo, stated that she is complying with the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro. “Despite the rain, we are present here, because we need to be linked, Popular Power and Government to walk together towards a great future,” he said

“We are a warrior people who continue to fight together with President Maduro to move forward,” he said.

He also invited all communities to participate in the Grassroots Assemblies, because only the communities themselves know who really works.
