“If you want to surround yourself with someone efficient, look for someone from the People, don't look for friends, don't look for sidekicks who are either going to kick your ass or lie to you, look for those of the People who are there for the truth, the People will never deceive the People.”

This was the call made by the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, to ensure efficient management, addressing all the governors, mayors and other officials elected by the parties of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“I must criticize so that doesn't happen because that happens too, not only with the governors and mayors, there is also the one who says 'I became a deputy there and I was here' or 'I am an official of the ministry x and I am accountable to the minister as such, I don't care what the People say'”, he questioned.

In this regard, he highlighted the example given by the President of the Republic and the PSUV, Nicolás Maduro, who has been the main promoter of permanent consultation with the People.

“The President goes to the ranks of our party and tells us: that's where we have to go, that's where we have to ask, that's who we have to listen to, because if the people are good, the bases are good to vote for one, they also have to be good to govern with one,” he said.
