Bolivarian Government attends to indigenous communities during a health day

A total of 13 communities in the Tucupita municipality, Delta Amacuro state, were addressed with health care sessions. The information was provided by Eylin Cedeño, manager of care and support for the Warao indigenous people in the entity, who indicated that these communities have received visits from medical specialists in various areas.

The official explained that the days are part of an initiative that seeks to integrate the public health system with indigenous communities, traditionally remote from the urban environment of Tucupita, and they have included services in general medicine, pediatrics, nutrition, barbering, hairdressing and Patria user care.

In addition, they have carried out the delivery of drugs for deworming, dissemination of the rights and duties of indigenous children, as well as sports and recreational activities. The deployments have been coordinated by the Ministry of People's Power for Health.
