Bolivarian Government rehabilitates border fault on the Valencia-Campo de Carabobo highway

The Carabobo State Highway Institute is carrying out repair work for the edge fault on the Valencia-Campo de Carabobo highway, within the framework of the National Plan for Comprehensive Road Care 2025.

Wuilder Palermo, president of the entity, reported that the works include the assembly of tunnel-type wall slabs for pipe covering and the casting of a wall roof slab into concrete. He explained that the edge fault affecting the security channel at kilometer 7 was caused by a rupture in the 36-inch pipe of the rainwater channel that runs parallel to the highway between the return in Los Caobos and the La Florida Distributor.

“The fault caused the erosion and undermining of the slope that forms the side of this channel, causing a pavement fault affecting the bearing, approximately 6 meters long and 4 meters wide,” Palermo explained in a statement.
