Cabello: Nomination meetings will be led by PSUV community leaders

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said this Wednesday that the red curtain teams in each community of the country will lead the grassroots assemblies for the nomination of candidates and candidates of the revolutionary forces in the legislative and regional elections on April 27.

“The basic nomination meetings will be led by PSUV community leaders. For the teams and the leader of the community,” said Cabello during the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV, held in Caracas.

He stressed that for the time being, the application must take into account gender parity and the generational theme. “The youngest are not old enough to apply, but they can apply,” he said.

Cabello said that the list to be recorded for each process must consist of all the names of the nominations and nominations of the assembly, without counting applications or repetition of names. “Did they nominate Juan 200 times? No, here's the list, because the evaluation is coming. Those who pass through that first phase go to the other evaluation,” he explained.
