From the social network Instagram, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reflects on the “sad spectacle of the opposition right now”. This was stated when referring to the flight from the country, and abandoning his followers last Saturday night, September 7, of the opposition member and former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia after seeking political asylum from Spain.
Cabello commented that “it would be interesting to analyze what is worse: not having known anything about the departure of Edmundo González or the ridiculous damage control attempt they are carrying out.”
It is important to remember that the Bolivarian Government, from the Public Ministry (MP), had first-hand knowledge of the exact moment when González Urrutia entered the embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Caracas, which was later informed by the Venezuelan authorities after the latter's asylum request.
In his post, Cabello added that “they don't get one right, and they're getting worse and worse, deceiving their own people, which has only brought them an endless chain of disappointments. Disappointment after disappointment, La Sayona continues to insist on deceiving her family, without recognizing that the only one to blame for what has happened is herself, because of her mistakes, which are not from now, but since 2002.”
In that vein, in the publication, the leader of the red awning specified that “she has been present at all those moments, when the opposition has tried to put an end to what they call the regime. But the regime is still standing, while they are increasingly divided”, referring to María Corina Machado. The flight of Edmundo González highlights a new failure of the right wing and its continuous cycle of vices in which its pseudo leaders abandon their followers and from the outside urge them to advance in a struggle based on violence with non-existent leadership. Debt collection, personal interests, fraud and treason prevail.
Regarding González's departure, he added that “they haven't digested it yet, they don't understand it, which will only lead them to make more mistakes. We've warned you time and time again: no matter what happens, We Will Win!! ”.
Last Saturday night, the executive vice-president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported on the opposition's departure from the country to Spain after seeking political asylum. "(...) González Urrutia, who had voluntarily taken refuge
in the embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Caracas for several days,
applied to that government for the processing of political asylum.
In this regard, once the
relevant contacts between the two governments have taken place, the extremes of the case have been met and in
accordance with international legality, Venezuela has granted appropriate safeguards for the sake of tranquility
and political peace in the country. This
behavior reaffirms the respect for law that has prevailed in the
actions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the
international community,” Rodríguez wrote to spread the news to the entire world.
