The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that Venezuela is not meddling or entering Trinidad and Tobago.
During the Press Conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón emphasized that: “What we have said is that they brought weapons to Venezuela, which came from Trinidad and Tobago, that is not to attack the one who says the news, that is to start investigating.”
In that regard, I assert that the information being given to Trinidad and Tobago is for that government to investigate, not to be offended. “We hadn't finished informing him that, when we had already here arrested a person of Trinidadian nationality in the gang of those who were carrying the weapons,” he said.
He added that the facts are there and “we don't need to invent anything”; this is a country of peace, of tranquility. “We have not entered the waters of Trinidad or anywhere else, but if an event of that nature occurs, we denounce it.”
