This Tuesday, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the commemoration of February 4, National Dignity Day, on the 33rd anniversary of the Civic-Military Rebellion, recalled that the politicians of the Fourth Republic left the military alone and Hugo Chávez changed that.

“The evil of Alejandro Izaguirre, Minister of the Interior of the year 89... He stopped to talk to the country: 'I can't go on, I don't feel good', many said poor thing to the old man he gave something (...) Evil! What I was doing was taking a step back so that the Armed Forces would assume the dead,” Cabello recalled.

In this regard, he emphasized that the politicians left the military alone, “the politicians stepped aside”.

“He is not present with us today (Hugo) Chávez, but we honor him... If you have doubts, ask yourself: What would Chávez do?” , he said and urged to remain “candid as a dove and cunning as a snake”

Chávez is with us permanently, when I dream about him he is always in charge and a recurring dream with him to cross a river and the car is stuck and at the end of the dream we take the car out... With Chávez we always dream beautifully, he taught us to dream beautifully for the Fatherland and the best homage we can give him is to remain united,” he stressed.

He also recalled the most difficult moment of the illness of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution. He came from there with his pain and gave us an order: Unity, Fight, Battle and Victory. Unity of Soldiers and the People. He left his fellow president, Nicolás Maduro, at the helm of this ship.”
