Cabello: We are obliged to work so that peaceful elections are held on July 27

“The National Electoral Council (CNE) gave us the results that brought us the Great Victory, which was peace, peace over those who promote the campaign of hate and persecution,” said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the press conference of the National Directorate of the Red Awning.

He also highlighted the dismantling of violent cells that intended to sabotage the electoral process of May 25, in this regard, he explained that once they are arrested, “they say that they were all students, good people and suffer from diseases.”

“People who intended to carry out a violent agenda were arrested, they were going to attack embassies,” he said.

“We are obliged to work all these days so that elections are held in peace on July 27, so that peace can triumph again and that peace is consolidated,” said the general secretary of the PSUV, adding that “if something hurt the extremist sectors in Venezuela, it wasn't losing the government, it was that everything happened in peace, there was no incident in any electoral center, anywhere in Venezuela.”

In this regard, he highlighted that 400,000 men were deployed throughout the national territory with the Republic Plan on May 25 in a very rapid election process. “We must repeat the format of May 25 for July 27, to guarantee peace and tranquility, there was no state of exception anywhere in Venezuela as happened in Ecuador.
