Cabello: We are taking steps now to prevent any act of violence on July 27

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the upcoming elections of July 27 for Mayors, Municipal Councils and the National Popular Youth Consultation are in peace.

“We are taking steps now to prevent any act of violence and to ensure that just as the elections of May 25 were in Santa Paz, so are those of July 27,” said Cabello Rondón, during the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV.

He also assured that the Venezuelan people will go out to celebrate July 28 for 3 reasons: “The first year of the triumph of President Nicolás Maduro, the birthday of Commander Hugo Chávez and the triumph in the Municipal Elections.”

On the other hand, Cabello indicated that they are going to begin an arduous selection work. In that sense, he called on whoever is elected as a candidate to humbly call those who did not remain and those who did not remain to come out with a lot of militancy and conscience to come out and support the one who gave.
